The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson
Review
Good book, great ending, but over-long.
The good: Readable, good world-building, an interesting world, a diverse cast of characters, and the last 15% of the book really kicks into high gear.
The not so good: The middle of this book really dragged on for me. If I hadn’t heard from multiple sources that the ending is worth it, I think I would have given up around 50% of the way through. The characters, while diverse, are all a bit one-note.
I’ll read the next one in the series at some point, but not straight away.
