Happy Brain: Where Happiness Comes From and Why by Dean Burnett

Review

Not bad, but I can’t wholeheartedly recommend it either.

The good: It’s entertaining and accessible. Breezily written, and really interesting in parts.

The not so good: Much of the topic comes up against sociology and psychology, but the book (understandably) doesn’t go into depth in those areas. I think really it’s a failure of conception rather than execution - neuroscience as a field just doesn’t yet seen able to come up with any deep insights on the topic.
